Workable Pricing for Standard, Premier and Enterprise and What the Add-Ons Really Cost

Hiring for a fully-remote role while you weigh this up? Post it here for $199 a month, salary range shown, employer verified by hand, read by an audience that wants nothing but remote work.

Workable costs $299 a month on Standard, $599 on Premier and $719 on Enterprise for a company with 1 to 20 employees, billed yearly. Those are the figures on Workable's own pricing page, read on 1 October 2026, and they work out to $3,588, $7,188 and $8,628 a year. Workable prices by company headcount, not by recruiter, and it is one of the few applicant tracking systems that shows a price without a sales call. The number that changes the decision is lower down the page: Standard with all three recruiting add-ons comes to $556 a month, only $43 less than Premier, which includes them.

Workable plans and prices

Every plan includes the applicant tracking system, the sourcing suite, unlimited active jobs (subject to fair use), a careers page and distribution to more than 200 job boards. The plans differ in what is bundled and how you can pay.

PlanPrice, 1 to 20 employeesPer yearBillingBundled on top of the core ATS
Standard$299 a month$3,588Monthly or annual (annual 20% cheaper)Nothing; texting, video interviews and assessments are paid add-ons
Premier$599 a month$7,188Annual onlyTexting, video interviews, assessments, referrals, Performance and Engagement
Enterprise$719 a month$8,628Annual onlyEverything in Premier, aimed at stricter compliance and governance needs

Two older options you may still see quoted are gone. Workable's help center says the $149 Starter plan is a legacy plan no longer sold to new customers, and that buying individual jobs for less than a month is not possible. If a comparison you are reading leads with $149 or a per-job price, it predates the current lineup.

What Workable Standard costs with add-ons

Standard is the cheapest plan only if you need one premium tool or none. Workable lists the Standard add-ons at $89 a month for Texting, $109 for Video interviews and $59 for Assessments, plus $39 for the Performance and Engagement HR module. Here is how they stack against Premier at the 1 to 20 employee band.

SetupPer monthPer yearGap to Premier
Standard alone$299$3,588$300 less
Standard plus Assessments$358$4,296$241 less
Standard plus Texting$388$4,656$211 less
Standard plus Video interviews$408$4,896$191 less
Standard plus Texting and Video interviews$497$5,964$102 less
Standard plus all three recruiting add-ons$556$6,672$43 less
Standard plus all four add-ons$595$7,140$4 less
Premier$599$7,188Includes all of the above plus referrals

The rule that falls out of the table: with two or more premium tools, Premier costs at most $102 a month more and adds the rest of the bundle, so price it before you build Standard up piece by piece. The catch is billing. Standard can be paid monthly and cancelled, while Premier is a twelve-month commitment of $7,188, so a team hiring for one season is often better off on monthly Standard with one add-on.

Assessments is the add-on most worth questioning. At $59 a month it is $708 a year for tests that live inside Workable. If you only test candidates for a few roles, or want to reuse the same tests for training, you can build and auto-grade your own skills tests outside the ATS and paste the scores into the candidate record.

How headcount changes Workable pricing

Workable sets the price by your total number of employees, in nine bands from 1 to 20 up to more than 1,000. Only the 1 to 20 band's prices are visible on the pricing page without selecting a band, and the price rises with each band. Recruiting team size does not matter: Workable's help center describes unlimited active jobs and users, sized for your company.

That makes Workable cheap for a small company that hires often and pricier for a large company that hires rarely. It also means your bill can rise without anything changing in recruiting. One third-party guide, Pin, citing SoftwareFinder data from 2025, reports Standard moving from $299 to roughly $500 a month when a company crosses from 20 to 21 employees. Treat that figure as reported rather than current, and select your real headcount band in the trial account before you budget, because the band you are in at renewal is the one you pay for.

What Workable Agent AI credits cost

Workable Agent screens, sources and chats with candidates, and it runs on credits rather than a flat fee. Workable charges 1 credit to evaluate a candidate against your profile, 2 credits to source a passive candidate into your pipeline, and 10 credits each time a candidate interacts with the chat. Every paid account starts with 3,000 free credits.

Credit packPrice per creditTotalCost to evaluate one candidateCost of one candidate chat
5,000 credits$0.12$600$0.12$1.20
10,000 credits$0.10$1,000$0.10$1.00
50,000 credits$0.095$4,750$0.095$0.95

A worked example on the smallest pack: a remote role that draws 400 applicants, all evaluated, plus 100 sourced profiles and 50 candidate chats, uses 400 + 200 + 500 = 1,100 credits, about $132 at $0.12. The free 3,000 credits cover roughly two or three such roles. Credits expire a year after purchase and are non-refundable, so buy the smallest pack until you know your volume. Chat is the expensive action, ten times the cost of a screen, so switch it on only where candidates actually use it.

Is Workable cheaper than Greenhouse?

For small and midsize companies, yes, by a wide margin. Workable Standard is $3,588 a year at the smallest band with no implementation fee listed. Greenhouse publishes no prices, and buyer data puts its median contract at about $27,000 a year, with small teams starting around $5,100 to $6,000 before a one-time implementation fee. Our Greenhouse pricing page sorts those figures by source and works out a three-year total. Greenhouse earns its price for companies with many hiring managers running structured interview loops across departments; Workable is built to be bought by a small team in an afternoon. The closest published rival is Ashby, whose Ashby pricing starts at $300 a month for 1 to 10 employees, while buyer data puts the median Lever pricing contract at $15,400 a year. Below Workable on price, JazzHR pricing starts at $1,000 a year for one company, and Zoho Recruit pricing runs $25 per recruiter a month billed yearly. Breezy HR pricing sits between them, from $157 a month billed yearly with unlimited users.

What Workable does not pay for

Workable distributes your job to more than 200 boards, but distribution is not the same as visibility. Free listings on the big boards sink fast, and sponsored or premium placements are bought from the boards themselves, outside your Workable plan. For a fully-remote role this matters more than usual, because general boards mix remote roles in with local ones, and many remote seekers go straight to remote-only boards. Our remote job posting sites comparison lists what each remote board charges.

The other cost is time. Remote postings draw far more applicants than on-site ones, as our figures on how many applicants a job posting gets show, and every one of them has to be screened by a person or paid for in credits. To see whether the ATS or the screening hours is the bigger line in your budget, put both into the cost per hire calculator.

If the role is fully remote, post it here for $199 a month. Every reader of this board wants remote work, every listing shows the salary range, and applicants arrive by email and in your dashboard, ready to add to Workable. Teams on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby can have each applicant created in their ATS automatically on our Enterprise plan.

Quick answers

How much does Workable cost per month?

For a company with 1 to 20 employees, Workable Standard is $299 a month billed yearly ($3,588 a year), Premier is $599 ($7,188 a year) and Enterprise is $719 ($8,628 a year), according to Workable's pricing page. Prices rise with each of the nine headcount bands, and only the smallest band's prices are shown openly.

Does Workable have a free trial?

Yes. Workable offers a 15-day trial with the complete Standard feature set and no credit card required. You buy a plan from inside the trial account. The trial does not include Workable Agent, so the AI credit costs only show up after you subscribe.

Can you pay for Workable monthly?

Only on Standard. Workable's help center lists Standard as monthly or annual, with annual billing 20% cheaper but treated as a commitment you cannot cancel midway. Premier and Enterprise are sold on annual subscriptions only.

How much are Workable add-ons?

On Standard, Workable lists Texting at $89 a month, Video interviews at $109, Assessments at $59 and the Performance and Engagement HR add-on at $39. Premier and Enterprise include all four, plus referrals, so the add-ons only cost extra on Standard.

Is the Workable Starter plan still available?

No. Workable's help center calls Starter a legacy plan that is no longer available to new customers. Existing holders can keep it, capped at two active jobs, but once cancelled it cannot be bought again. New customers choose from Standard, Premier and Enterprise.

Does Workable charge per user?

No. Workable prices by the number of employees at your company, in nine bands from 1 to 20 up to over 1,000, and its help center describes unlimited active jobs and users sized to your company. Adding a hiring manager costs nothing, but growing headcount moves you into a pricier band.
