Refund Policy
Effective October 14, 2026
This policy covers what employers pay LatestRemote for Starter, Growth, Scale and Enterprise. Job seekers never pay us, so nothing here applies to them. The rule is simple. Once a plan has been charged, the charge stands, apart from the three situations described below.
What exactly am I paying for?
Every employer plan is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, that keeps a set number of listings live on the board together with the extras shown on the pricing page: feed placement, alert blasts, applicant filtering, a company profile or seats. You pay for that capacity during the billing period. You are not paying per applicant, per view or per hire. The capacity is yours from the first day of the period, whether you post one role, five, or none.
Filling a role quickly does not change this. A listing you take down early has already been shown to candidates and sent in alerts, and on Growth and Scale its slot frees up at once for your next opening.
By subscribing you ask us to start the service immediately. Where a statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period would otherwise apply, you acknowledge that it ends once we have begun at your request.
Can I get my money back?
Only if one of these applies, the evidence supports it, and only up to the charge concerned.
- A duplicate charge. Our billing charged your company twice for the same period.
- A proven unauthorised charge. A card was used for a LatestRemote plan without the cardholder's permission, this is reported to us within 14 days of the charge, and our account records and those of our payment processor confirm it. A statement on its own does not decide the claim, and we may ask you to confirm that the card issuer has been told.
- A complete failure of the board. A fault we confirm on our side kept your listings off the board, or your employer account unusable, for a continuous stretch, you reported it at the time, and we could not put it right. Short slowdowns, a delayed alert email, and issues with your ATS, network or devices do not qualify.
A refund we grant is limited to what you paid for the affected period, returns only to the original card, and is the whole of our liability for that charge. It does not open the door to further refunds.
Separately, a listing that fails our editorial review (no salary range, or a role that is not fully remote) never goes live and does not use a slot of your plan.
Which reasons do not qualify?
- You hired through another channel, froze hiring, or cancelled the role.
- You filled the role early and took the listing down.
- You received fewer applications than expected, or candidates who did not fit.
- You did not use all the slots, seats or features of your plan during a paid period.
- You thought the plan was a one-time posting fee. All plans renew automatically, as stated on the pricing page, at checkout, in the confirmation email and in your employer account.
- A renewal went through before you cancelled, or you cancelled just after one.
- A renewal was collected after earlier attempts had failed.
- You chose the wrong plan, billing period or number of seats.
- A feature is missing or works differently from what you assumed, where the pricing page does not describe it.
- Time remaining in a period after you cancel. We do not pro-rate.
- Someone else used your employer account, including a recruiter or colleague you gave access to.
How do I stop paying?
Cancel in your employer account at any moment, with no need to write to us. Cancelling turns off every future renewal straight away; your live listings and plan stay active until the end of the period already paid. Cancelling is not a refund request.
If you do nothing, the plan renews on its renewal date and the new period, with its fee, begins that day. A declined card leaves the fee owing, and the same invoice is retried over the following days. Those retries are not new charges. Cancelling during them stops later renewals but not the invoice for the period already under way, and that renewal is not refunded. Your next renewal date is shown in your employer account.
How do I ask for a refund?
Email [email protected] from the address on the employer account within 14 days of the charge, with the date, the amount and the exception that applies. Requests sent after 14 days or through other channels are not reviewed. We work through them in order of arrival, without a promised reply time, and do not reopen declined requests.
What do you keep on record?
Creating an employer account means accepting our Terms of Service, which include this policy, and our Privacy Policy. Checkout states the plan, price, billing period and automatic renewal before payment, and the confirmation email and account repeat it.
For each subscription we keep the purchase time, the plan and price shown, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, and the activity log of the employer account, including sign-ins, listings submitted, edited and closed, with the technical details recorded with each. Our payment processor keeps its own record of every charge, including the card's issuing country, where the payment came from and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure.
Claims of unauthorised use are assessed against these records. Opening a chargeback without contacting us first breaches our Terms; the records then go to the card issuer and the employer account is closed permanently.
What about plans bought earlier?
A plan purchased before October 14, 2026 keeps the refund terms that were published on the day it was bought.
