Remote Jobs FAQ: The Straight Answers

Everything seekers and employers ask about the board: how fresh the listings are, what verification means, why salary is required, and how posting works.

For job seekers

Are the remote jobs on Latestremote real and current?
Yes. Every listing was posted within the last 30 days by an employer we verified by hand, the feed sorts newest first, and filled roles are pulled the day the employer closes them. Nothing lingers.
Is Latestremote free for job seekers?
Yes, free forever. Browsing the board, saving job alerts, and applying all cost nothing, and there is no premium seeker tier. Employers pay to post, which is what keeps the board funded and honest.
What does "verified remote-first" mean exactly?
Before a company's first listing runs, we check three things: the role is fully remote with no required office days, the company publishes its timezone expectations, and async work is the norm rather than a perk. Companies that pass carry the verified badge on every listing.
Do all listings really show a salary?
Yes. A salary range is a hard requirement for every listing on the board. If an employer removes the range, the listing comes down. Part-time roles show hourly rates.
I live outside the US. Can I use Latestremote?
Yes. Every listing is tagged with its required timezone overlap: Americas, Europe/Africa, Asia-Pacific, or Anywhere. Filter by your overlap and you only see roles that fit your clock. Many roles hire across multiple regions.
How do job alerts work?
Create a free account, tell us the role you care about, and new matching listings arrive in your inbox the day they publish. At most one email per day, and only when something new actually matches.
What kinds of roles are on the board?
Engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer support, and operations, from entry level to staff and head-of level, full-time and part-time. Around a third of listings at any time are outside engineering.
How is this different from the remote filter on big job sites?
Generalist filters mix in hybrid roles, geo-fenced roles, and ghost posts. Latestremote lists only hand-verified, fully-remote roles under 30 days old with salary shown, so a smaller board reads faster and wastes none of your applications.

For employers

Why should we post here instead of LinkedIn?
Because the audience is 100% remote-intent. You skip the flood of applicants who want hybrid, need relocation, or clicked by accident, and the salary requirement means candidates arrive already aligned on compensation.
How fast do employer posts go live?
Same business day. A human reviews every listing; first-time employers also complete a one-time verification of their remote-first setup.
What does posting cost?
A single 30-day post is $299. The Growth plan is $649 per month for five active posts with priority placement and alert blasts, Scale is $1,490 per month for unlimited posts, and Enterprise pricing is custom with SSO, ATS integration, and invoicing.
What if our company is not fully remote?
Only fully-remote roles from remote-first employers run on the board. If your role requires office days, this is not the right channel for it, and we will say so during review rather than take the fee.
