iCIMS Pricing and iCIMS Cost per Year, per Employee and for Implementation

iCIMS does not publish prices, and its old pricing address now returns a page-not-found error. Buyer data is the only public guide. Vendr's live iCIMS page puts the median contract at $9,771 a year, with deals from $2,152 to $64,713. Third-party guides estimate $6 to $9 per employee a month, and buyer reviews put implementation at $15,000 to $25,000 on top. The $20,781 average that most guides repeat comes from an older Vendr page built on about five deals, so treat the median as the better starting point. We read every figure on 13 October 2026.

iCIMS is the applicant tracking system behind a lot of large US employers. The company says more than 4,400 organizations use it, including a quarter of the Fortune 500. It sells through sales calls only, so anyone pricing it for the first time finds a demo form and no numbers.

The figures that do circulate disagree by a factor of two, and most of the pages ranking for this search copy one number without saying where it came from. This page puts every public figure in one table, explains why they differ, works out what iCIMS costs at 50 to 1,000 employees, and adds the implementation and renewal costs that turn a license quote into a real first-year budget.

How much does iCIMS cost?

iCIMS typically costs about $9,771 a year at the median, based on buyer transactions Vendr tracks, with contracts as low as $2,152 and as high as $64,713. Large enterprise deals go far higher. iCIMS itself publishes no price list, and there is no free plan or self-serve checkout.

Public figure for iCIMSValueWhere it comes from
Median contract a year$9,771Vendr marketplace page, live on 13 October 2026
Low and high contract a year$2,152 to $64,713Same Vendr page
Average contract a year$20,781Older Vendr buyer guide, based on about 5 deals
Lowest and highest contractAbout $14,500 to $635,000Same older buyer guide
Per employee a month$6 to $9Third-party estimates (OutSail, repeated by ERP Research and Pin)
Implementation$15,000 to $25,000 for 100 to 500 employeesBuyer reviews on G2 and TrustRadius, summarized by Pin

On a monthly basis the median works out to about $814. That is the license only. Most first-year budgets also carry implementation, and any module beyond the core applicant tracking system is priced on top.

Why iCIMS price estimates disagree

The two numbers people quote come from two different Vendr datasets. The $20,781 average and the $14,500 floor come from an older buyer guide built on about five completed deals. The live marketplace page now shows a $9,771 median, which is lower than the old floor.

That matters for anyone budgeting. The old guide says the cheapest iCIMS contract it saw was about $14,500, which is 1.48 times today's median, and its average is 2.13 times the median. An average built on five deals that include one at $635,000 says very little about what a 150-person company will be quoted. A median is not dragged up by a single enterprise contract, so it is the better first anchor.

The per-employee figure is a separate estimate, not a published rate, even though one widely read guide calls $9 iCIMS's published per-seat rate. iCIMS publishes no rate at all. When we requested icims.com/pricing on 13 October 2026, the site returned its page-not-found template. Treat any single number as a range check, not a quote.

Does iCIMS charge per employee?

Usually, yes. Buyer reports describe iCIMS quotes as per employee per month, on your total headcount rather than on the number of recruiters or hires, at roughly $6 to $9 per employee. That means the bill grows with the company even in a year when hiring slows.

EmployeesAt $6 per employee a month, a yearAt $9 per employee a month, a year
50$3,600$5,400
100$7,200$10,800
250$18,000$27,000
500$36,000$54,000
1,000$72,000$108,000

The two data sources roughly agree. At $6 to $9 per employee, the $9,771 median corresponds to a company of about 90 to 136 employees, which is a plausible middle for a buyer base that runs from small regional employers to the Fortune 500. If your headcount is well above that, expect a quote well above the median before any volume discount.

What is included in iCIMS, and what costs extra?

iCIMS sells its Talent Cloud as separate products. iCIMS Hire covers applicant tracking, offer management, onboarding, text recruiting and high-volume hiring. iCIMS Engage covers candidate relationship management. iCIMS Employer Branding covers career sites, employee video testimonials and a recruiting chatbot. Each one you add raises the quote.

Buyer guides consistently say the headline price usually describes the applicant tracking system alone, and that mid-market teams often license two or three products. Pin estimates that adding Engage to Hire can take the total to 1.5 to 2 times the Hire-only quote. Ask the sales rep to price each product as a separate line, so you can see what the core system costs before the extras.

Two questions to put in writing before you sign: which modules your remote hiring actually needs on day one, and whether onboarding is part of the quote or a separate contract. If your new hires work in several states, onboarding and tax setup are where the work piles up, and our guide to state tax withholding for remote employees shows what each new state adds.

How much is iCIMS implementation?

Buyer reviews put iCIMS implementation at about $15,000 to $25,000 for a company of 100 to 500 employees, with enterprise setups taking three to six months. At the median license, implementation alone costs more than the first year of software.

First-year scenarioLicenseImplementationYear-one total
Median license, low implementation$9,771$15,000$24,771
Median license, high implementation$9,771$25,000$34,771
Average license, low implementation$20,781$15,000$35,781
Average license, high implementation$20,781$25,000$45,781

That ratio is the main difference between iCIMS and the tools with published prices. A Workable or Ashby account can be running the same week; an iCIMS rollout is a project with a configuration phase, data migration and training. Ask for implementation as a fixed fee with a named scope, and ask whether it can be spread across the first year.

What iCIMS costs over three years

At the median license, three years of iCIMS cost about $30,200 to $31,400 in subscription with 3 to 7% yearly increases, or about $45,200 to $56,400 once implementation is added.

ScenarioYear 1Year 2Year 3Subscription total
Median $9,771, 3% yearly increase$9,771$10,064$10,366$30,201
Median $9,771, 7% yearly increase$9,771$10,455$11,187$31,413
Average $20,781, 3% yearly increase$20,781$21,404$22,047$64,232
Average $20,781, 7% yearly increase$20,781$22,236$23,792$66,809

Three to seven percent is the escalator Vendr reports as common for applicant tracking contracts. Individual iCIMS buyers have reported much larger jumps at renewal, 28% in one case and 40% in another, according to reviews Pin collected. Put a renewal cap in the order form, and diary the notice date, because iCIMS agreements are annual or multi-year with automatic renewal.

Is iCIMS cheaper than Greenhouse?

On buyer-reported medians, yes. Vendr data puts the median iCIMS contract at $9,771 a year against roughly $27,000 for Greenhouse and $15,400 for Lever. The medians describe different buyers, though, so the only fair comparison is two quotes at the same headcount and scope.

The tools with published prices are easier to budget. Workable Standard is $299 a month billed yearly for up to 20 employees, Ashby Foundations runs from $300 to $900 a month up to 100 employees, and SmartRecruiters publishes Essential from $14,995. A company under about 100 people will usually find one of those cheaper than iCIMS once implementation is counted. We cover each in detail on Greenhouse pricing, Lever pricing, SmartRecruiters pricing and Ashby pricing, and our roundup of iCIMS alternatives with published prices compares the options for teams that want a number before a sales call.

Is iCIMS worth it?

iCIMS is worth its price for a US employer of roughly 1,000 or more people, or one that hires at high volume across many locations, needs configurable approval workflows and has a recruiting operations team to run it. Below about 200 employees, the implementation cost alone usually outweighs what the extra configurability buys.

The signals that point to iCIMS: you run several hundred requisitions a year, you need separate workflows for hourly and salaried hiring, compliance reporting matters, and your HR system is an enterprise suite iCIMS integrates with. The signals against it: you hire a few dozen people a year, nobody on the team can own a three-month rollout, or you want to see a price before talking to sales.

How to get remote applicants into iCIMS

Questions buyers ask about iCIMS pricing

How much does iCIMS cost per year?
Vendr's buyer data puts the median iCIMS contract at $9,771 a year, with deals from $2,152 to $64,713. An older Vendr guide based on about five deals reported a $20,781 average. iCIMS quotes every customer, and implementation of $15,000 to $25,000 is usually extra.
Does iCIMS publish its pricing?
No. iCIMS has no public price list, no free plan and no self-serve checkout, and icims.com/pricing returned a page-not-found error on 13 October 2026. Every price comes from a sales quote, which is why buyer data from Vendr and review sites is the only public guide.
How much does iCIMS cost per employee?
Third-party estimates put iCIMS at roughly $6 to $9 per employee per month, charged on total headcount rather than recruiters. That is about $7,200 to $10,800 a year for 100 employees and $36,000 to $54,000 for 500, before modules, implementation and volume discounts.
How much is iCIMS implementation?
Buyer reviews put implementation at about $15,000 to $25,000 for companies of 100 to 500 employees, and enterprise rollouts take three to six months. At the median license of $9,771, implementation can cost more than the first year of software, so negotiate it as a fixed fee.
Is iCIMS cheaper than Greenhouse?
On buyer-reported medians, yes: about $9,771 a year for iCIMS against roughly $27,000 for Greenhouse. The medians reflect different customers, and iCIMS implementation is usually larger, so compare two quotes at the same headcount and scope before deciding.
Is iCIMS good for small businesses?
Usually not. iCIMS is built for large and high-volume employers, it is sold through sales calls and implementation alone can exceed $15,000. A business under about 100 employees will usually pay less with a published-price tool such as Workable from $299 a month or JazzHR from $1,000 a year.
