Paradox AI Pricing and What Paradox Olivia Costs per Year, per Location and per Hire
Paradox does not publish prices. Its pricing page, read on 25 October 2026, shows product modules and a demo request, and the company has been part of Workday since 1 October 2025. Software directories list a starting point of about $1,000 a month ($12,000 a year), buyer guides report $30,000 to $80,000 a year for mid-market deployments and $150,000 to $500,000 or more for large multi-location employers, plus one-time implementation of roughly $15,000 to $75,000. Costbench puts the median at $87,500 a year from only five buyer reports. At 1,000 hires a year that median works out to $87.50 per hire.
Paradox sells Olivia, a conversational assistant that texts and chats with applicants, screens them on knockout questions, books interviews into managers' calendars and sends offers and onboarding forms. It was built for frontline hiring at volume: restaurants, retail, healthcare systems, logistics and franchise groups, where one location might take hundreds of applications a month and the store manager has no time to call any of them back.
That buyer profile explains the price. Paradox quotes every deal by locations, hiring volume, modules and integration depth, and the published figures you will find are third-party estimates that disagree because they describe very different customers. This page lays out what each figure measures, works the money out per hire and per location, and shows what a three-year term costs once the 5% annual increase buyers report is applied. Every number was read on 25 October 2026 at the source named beside it, and every derived figure was computed from those, not estimated.

How much does Paradox AI cost?
Paradox AI costs anywhere from about $12,000 a year for a small deployment to $500,000 or more for a large multi-location employer, because every contract is quoted by locations, hiring volume and modules. Paradox shows no price on its own pricing page. The figures below are what buyers and directories report, grouped by the kind of customer they describe.
| Segment | Reported yearly cost | Where the figure comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Entry or small deployment | From about $12,000 ($1,000 a month) | GetApp and SelectHub directory listings |
| Mid-market, base platform | $30,000 to $60,000 | Hire Truffle buyer guide |
| Mid-market with added modules | $45,000 to $95,000 | Hire Truffle buyer guide |
| Mid-market, all buyer reports | $30,000 to $80,000 | Noon AI, August 2026 |
| Median of five buyer reports | $87,500 | Costbench |
| Large multi-location enterprise | $150,000 to $500,000 or more | Noon AI, August 2026 |
| One-time implementation | $15,000 to $75,000 | Hire Truffle ($15,000 to $35,000) and Noon AI ($25,000 to $75,000) |
Treat the median with care. Five reports is a very small sample, and a single franchise group with hundreds of stores can move it a long way. The $1,000 a month entry figure is the opposite problem: it is a floor that few deployments stay at once scheduling, onboarding or the full conversational ATS are added. For budgeting, the honest range for a regional employer with 20 to 100 locations is the mid-market band, plus implementation in year one.
Is Paradox priced per location or per hire?
Paradox is priced mainly by the number of hiring locations and the volume of applicants Olivia handles, with each module scoped separately. Buyer guides agree on four levers: locations, annual candidate volume, which modules you buy (screening, scheduling, events, onboarding, the conversational ATS, Traitify assessments) and how deep the integration into Workday, SAP SuccessFactors or another HR system goes.
Because the meter is volume, the useful way to read any quote is per hire. Costbench reports that the enterprise minimum applies to organizations with 200 or more locations or 1,000 or more hires a year. At exactly that threshold, the $87,500 median works out as follows.
| Unit | At the $87,500 median | How it was computed |
|---|---|---|
| Per hire, 1,000 hires a year | $87.50 | $87,500 / 1,000 |
| Per location per year, 200 locations | $437.50 | $87,500 / 200 |
| Per location per month, 200 locations | $36.46 | $437.50 / 12 |
That last line is the number to bring to a franchise owners' meeting. Spread across 200 stores, the median contract is less than $40 a store a month, which is why multi-location brands sign it. For a single-site employer the same contract has nothing to spread across, and Paradox is the wrong tool.
Paradox cost per hire by hiring volume
The same Paradox contract can cost $2,000 per hire or 60 cents per hire depending on how many people you hire through it, so volume decides whether the price is reasonable. The table divides each reported contract level by four annual hiring volumes.
| Hires a year | $12,000 entry | $30,000 | $80,000 | $87,500 median | $150,000 | $500,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 250 | $48.00 | $120.00 | $320.00 | $350.00 | $600.00 | $2,000.00 |
| 1,000 | $12.00 | $30.00 | $80.00 | $87.50 | $150.00 | $500.00 |
| 5,000 | $2.40 | $6.00 | $16.00 | $17.50 | $30.00 | $100.00 |
| 20,000 | $0.60 | $1.50 | $4.00 | $4.38 | $7.50 | $25.00 |
Paradox's own customer stories show the top of this range. Compass Group says it hires 120,000 workers a year with a recruiting team of 20. Even a $500,000 contract at that volume is about $4.17 per hire. A business hiring 250 people a year pays at least $48 a hire at the entry price and more realistically $120 to $350, which is where a published-price ATS starts to look better. Our cost per hire calculator puts the software line next to job ads, recruiter time and onboarding.
What Paradox costs over three years
At the $87,500 median, a three-year Paradox term costs $275,844 with the 5% annual increase buyers report, before implementation. Costbench reports multi-year contracts, often two to three years, that auto-renew unless you give notice at least 30 days before the term ends.
| Starting contract | Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | Three-year total at 5% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $12,000 entry | $12,000 | $12,600 | $13,230 | $37,830 |
| $30,000 mid-market low | $30,000 | $31,500 | $33,075 | $94,575 |
| $80,000 mid-market high | $80,000 | $84,000 | $88,200 | $252,200 |
| $87,500 median | $87,500 | $91,875 | $96,469 | $275,844 |
Add implementation to year one. At the median, a $25,000 to $75,000 setup takes the first year to $112,500 to $162,500. Two contract terms matter more than the headline price: cap the renewal increase in writing, and put the auto-renewal notice date in your calendar the day you sign. The 30-day window is short for a contract this size.
Does Workday own Paradox now?
Yes. Workday completed its acquisition of Paradox on 1 October 2025, for a reported $1.0 billion in cash, and sells Olivia as part of its talent acquisition suite next to Workday Recruiting and HiredScore. Workday said at closing that Paradox would schedule 32 million interviews that year, about one in every ten in the US.
For pricing, the acquisition changes who you negotiate with more than what you pay. Paradox still quotes separately and still integrates with SAP SuccessFactors and other systems, but a Workday HCM customer can now bundle it into one Workday renewal, which is real leverage on both contracts. If your company is on Workday, read our Workday Recruiting pricing page before the call: the module is quoted per employee per month, and knowing that number tells you how much room the bundle has.
Is Paradox worth it?
Paradox is worth it for an employer hiring hundreds or thousands of hourly workers a year across many locations, where store managers cannot call every applicant back and slow scheduling loses candidates to the next employer. At that volume the per-hire cost falls into single dollars and the time saved at each location is the real return. Paradox cites 7-Eleven saving 40,000 hours a week across its stores; that is a vendor case study, but the mechanism is easy to check against your own manager hours.
It is not worth it for a single-location business, a team hiring a few dozen people a year, or salaried hiring where the problem is finding scarce candidates rather than processing too many. Buyer guides call it overkill under about 20 hires a quarter, and the setup needs a project owner for several weeks.
Due diligence belongs in the decision too. In June 2025 security researchers reported that an old McHire test account at Paradox, protected only by the default password 123456, exposed applicant chat records; Paradox said the account had not been used since 2019 and fixed the issue within hours of disclosure. Ask any conversational hiring vendor how it audits stale accounts and test environments, and get the answer in the security questionnaire.
Paradox AI alternatives with published prices
If your volume does not justify a five-figure quote, the tools with published prices are cheaper to start: Spark Hire's ATS is $335 a month, Breezy HR Startup $157 a month billed yearly and JazzHR Hero about $83 a month on its yearly price. None of them runs text-based screening at Paradox's scale, but each schedules interviews and tracks applicants for a fraction of the entry figure. Our roundup of Paradox AI alternatives compares them on price and fit, and the detail pages for JazzHR pricing, Breezy HR pricing and Hireology pricing (built for multi-location operators) work out the real totals.
How to fill the remote roles behind a frontline business
Use Olivia for the store, warehouse and clinic roles, and post the remote roles that support them where remote candidates already look. Every large frontline employer also runs a central team that can work from anywhere in the US: customer support, scheduling and workforce management, recruiting coordinators, payroll and HR operations. Those applicants are not searching your local hourly job pages, and they do not need a chat bot to book a phone screen.
A listing on our board costs $199 a month for one live remote role, or $99 a month billed yearly, bought on the site with no sales call. That is $2,388 a year at the monthly price, about 2.7% of the Paradox median. Applications come to you directly. Our Enterprise plan pushes candidates automatically into Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby; it does not push into Workday or Paradox, so on those systems the handoff is manual. To size the remote hire itself, see what it costs to hire a remote employee and our list of employer guides and pricing pages.
